Clinton Massie Throttles McNicholas

Clinton Massie Throttles McNicholas
The Clinton-Massie Falcons used a school record 365 yards rushing by senior Bayle Wolfe to roll to an easy win over the McNicholas Rockets Friday night in the Region 14 semi-finals, 52-14.

Wolfe accomplish the feat on 33 carries and scored six of the Falcons seven touchdowns in the contest. The rushing yardage record breaks Drew Frey's 356 yards that he had in a game against Madison Plains in the mid 2000s.

Clinton-Massie jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and was never seriously challenged. With the win, Clinton-Massie improves to (11-1) on the season and will be playing in their third straight regional championship game next Friday night.

Besides Bayle Wolf record performance, his younger brother Chayse ran for 97 yards & a TD & Hunter Fentress only attempted seven passes & completed 2 of them for 29 yards.

Callum Jones added a 23 yard field goal & was 7 of 7 in PATs.

Clinton-Massie will face Kettering Alter next week, who defeated Germantown Valley View 28-0, thanks to Nick Coleman's 3 TD runs.

Falcon fans may remember that it was in the Region 16 finals in 2009 that the two teams met with Alter winning 32-7.

The site of next Friday night's game, which will be broadcast on Buckeye Country 105.5 FM and IHeart Radio, will be announced on Sunday by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
