MIAMI TRACE 49, WESTFALL 43
The Lady Panthers led by 20 points (47-27) with 7 minutes left in the final period when the Westfall Lady Mustangs went on a 16-0 run to pull to with 4 points (47-43) with 35 seconds left in the contest. After a Trace time out Josie Cobb was fouled & made 2 free throws to clinch the Panthers 49-43 win.

Abby Schwenk led the Lady Panthers (9-2 overall) 14 points, Brooklyne Baldwin had 11 points & Josie Cobb added 10 points. Lady Panthers shot 52% from the field in the 1st half as they open up 28-12 halftime lead. Though they cooled down some in the 2nd half they still shot 20 of 51 from the field in the game for 39.2% including 0 out of 4 on three point shots. The Panthers were 7 out of 10 including Cobb 4 of 4 in the final 8 minutes of the game.

Westfall shot 34.8% from the field & out rebound Miami Trace 23-18 overall. Jess Miller had 11 points & Kelsie Robertson had 10 points to lead the Lady Mustangs (8-5) in scoring. Westfall had 23 turnovers while Trace had 15 turnovers in the contest including seven in the 6 minute span in which Westfall cut down the Trace lead.

Miami Trace is off till next Saturday when they play at Chillicothe & Westfall who is tied with Unioto in the SVC at 5-0 face off against each other on Tuesday.

 

HILLSBORO 55, BATAVIA 36
The Lady Indians won their 4th straight game & move to 5-7 overall. They host Washington CH Wednesday night with varsity game to be broadcast on Buckeye Country 105.5FM & IHeart Radio
