SCOL Girls Head to Holiday Break
Sydney Brackenmyer poured in 27 points & grabbed 14 rebounds as the Clinton Massie Lady Falcons defeated the Hillsboro Lady Indians Wednesday night in SCOL action.
Falcons (9-0 overall/5-0 SCOL) had nine players in the scoring column as they held the Lady Indians to single digits in the first three periods.
Kaylynn Bell led the Indians (1-7/0-4) with 9 points.
Clinton Massie will play Wilmington December 27th in the Clinton County Holiday Tournament at Wilmington College. Hillsboro will play host to Paint Valley this Saturday in non conference action.
The Lady Cavs (5-2/3-1) jumped out to a 15-9 first quarter lead & never looked back extending it to 34-11 at halftime & rolled over the Lady Astros who are still looking for their 1st win of the season.
Jenna Holton with 16 points & Bri Dawes with 14 led the Cavaliers.
Lady Cavs play at Thurgood Marshall on Saturday while East Clinton plays Saturday at Madison Plains.
The Lady Lions failed to hold on to a ten point lead early in the 3rd quarter & came close to coming from behind to win the non conference game but fell short against the Circleville Lady Tigers who ran their record to 6-2 overall.
Washington (4-5 overall/1-3 SCOL) led 21-11 with 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter when Circleville went on a 20-4 run.
Washington rallied late after the Tigers committed three straight turnovers to tie the contest at 31 each with 30 seconds left. The Lady Tigers sealed the win after making 2 free throws with 10 seconds left.
Chelsea Warning had 11 points including hitting three 3s to lead Washington in scoring. Circleville was led by Rebekah Branham who hit for 10 of her game high 12 points in the 2nd half.
Washington CH will be back in action next Monday when they host Madison Plains.
