Year 25 at Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic

Year 25 at Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic

The annual Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic is celebrating it's 25th year Friday.

Southeastern Assistant Basketball Coach Gary Kellough, who helped start the Classic when he coached at Zane Trace, says among the reasons for starting the event was to get local teams more exposure to big name teams and tougher competition.

For years, the two-day event was held at Ohio University-Chillicothe, before moving to Zane Trace High School. This year, the Classic is being played all in one day, with
games starting at 11am, Friday Nov. 29th.

Two new Hall of Fame members are being inducted this year. They are Classic organizer Janna Detty and former coach and community leader Glenn Chester.

Tickets are $6 for an all day pass to watch all 7 games.

Games are:
Alexander Girls vs Zane Trace Girls
Huntington vs Alexander
Hillsboro vs Westfall
Eastern Brown vs Vinton County
Bloom Carroll vs Piketon
Washington CH vs Logan Elm
Zane Trace vs Amanda
